THE NATURAL UNIVERSE IN MOTION TAKES PLACE AT BIO BRAZIL FAIR | BIOFACH AMÉRICA LATINA – INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR OF ORGANIC PRODUCTS AND AGROECOLOGY, WHICH IS DEEMED THE BIGGEST BUSINESS EVENT OF THIS KIND OF PRODUCT IN LATIN AMERICA.
According to a worldwide trend of the major trade fairs of the sector, a survey with exhibitors (83% in favor of the change) and with a view to keep its sustainable growth (40%), the 14th edition of the event, which was previously held at Bienal do Ibirapuera, is currently at Anhembi Exhibition Pavilion. There is nothing unusual, if we think that the human body, from head to toe, can be fed with organic products, so to speak.
What comes to mind when we think of biofood are meat, milk, juice, fruit, vegetable, bread, pasta, in short, several products, some of them functional, which help our metabolism promote health and wellbeing. When it comes to cosmetics, the production of organic food does not settle for less: fragrances, essences, soaps, shampoos, tonics and so on. Fashion? There are biojewelry, fabrics, accessories. The trade fair also contemplates the production sector, with supplies and fertilizers, packages, equipment and machinery.
A healthier and more balanced life cannot be dissociated from the market of organic products, which now surpasses R$ 3 billion per year and continuously brings the latest products. The sector of pet products, for instance, which will also show up at BIO BRAZIL FAIR | BIOFACH AMÉRICA LATINA, proves that.
The trade fair also includes the Knowledge Stage and the Inspiration Stage, with relevant talks and contents for professionals of the sector, in addition to the Congress of Herbal Medicines.
Events integrated with the International Forum of Organic and Sustainable Production, Meeting with Organic Farmers for the Supply of School Food, Panel of Organic and Natural Cosmetics, SVB – Vegetarianism in Question Seminar, Vegetarian Cuisine Festival and many other panels, meetings and talks amount to over 100 hours of programming, most of all free of charge.
The trade fair also promotes Business Rounds, which consist of previously scheduled meetings held in a reserved place outside the stands. The event is held since 2005 by Francal Feiras, in partnership with NürnbergMesse Brazil, and celebrates its 14th edition on June 6 to 9.
Its last edition attracted 167 exhibitors (42% in excess compared to 2016), which showcased around 1,200 launches and the latest natural and processed foods, fashion, cosmetics and services focused on the production.
The main purpose of BIO BRAZIL FAIR | BIOFACH AMÉRICA LATINA is to provide exhibitors and buyers with the opportunity to do business, however, since its first edition, the mission of the event is to cooperate in the dissemination of the benefits of organic products for the end consumer. Therefore, the trade fair is opened for the general public every day, with free entry, which may buy the products in small quantities in the stands of producers and manufacturers.
Subject to the principles of a sustainable event, BIO BRAZIL FAIR | BIOFACH AMERICA LATINA encourages its visitors to come to the place by public transport and, thus, it offers round-trip shuttle service from Portuguesa-Tietê subway station up to Anhembi subway station.
